The very begining of 2009........
This is how our dog "Ace" tells me he is ready to eat. He is almost 14 but still lets the sqeaky toy squirrel know who is boss.

Danny just being cute. My interpretation was he's flashing his age. He just had a birthday. I would have to copy this photo a "few" times to represent his age. Would you believe 4 times?

This is me, Diane. Danny decided it was my turn for a surprise photo. Caught me measuring the temp of water to activate baking yeast. I was making bread.

My dad dreamed of having a pond again at his childhood home. After another dam blowout, it is time to start again.

The Beaver Pond

1999 Danny, Shanna and Austin taking turns snacking on a beaver stricken tree. The Hurricanes from 1996 and recent years toppled many trees at our Old Home Place. On site is a water stream which was used to create a "mill pond" in the early 1900's. One of the hugh stone grain grinders was still lying around. The dam to the mill pond had blown out a few times and many hardwood trees had grown in the wetlands. Beavers decided it was a good place to reside.

Danny and I at Hilton Head July 17, 2008. It was our 21st anniversay. I made a picture ornament using Photoshop Elements. I am trying to learn digital scrapbooking and currently have to intensly follow step by step instructions. But, I love the outcome.

Is Blogging for me? We will see.

I have been reading a few blogs and loved them. I have a tendency to create newsletters but not send them all out. What good is that? Maybe this venue will work.
